Week 15

In this week I did a lot of play testing with my friends. It helped me a lot trough the process.
for example, the light in put in front of the keys

Because my friend was confused about where is the key. Then I come up with the idea of putting green light to indicate the keys and blue light to indicate the destructible objects.

In this week I created 4 cinematic, the opening scene, when the player got all the keys, boss scene, and the ending. These are some images of my cinematic

Week 12 - 14

This was the most difficult part in my development process.
It consists a lot of logical thinking and broad knowledge of the pre-sets in UDK.
The image above is the whole kismet in my game. Every part has different function.

In kismet, it's all what happens in my level. The movement of enemies, firing behavior, animating doors, cinematics, toggle light, particle system, and when the player collect all the keys.

First, I started everything with the easiest one which was animating the door. It uses Unreal
Kismet to set everything up and Unreal Matinee to start the animation.

In these week I made the 3 cinematic. Opening scene for the prison, scene from where you got all the keys, the boss scene, and the ending scene which was the most difficult part.

These are some cinematic from each scene.

Week 11

Outdoor Environment of the prison and the Entrance. I put Rocks, Cave, Waterfall.

Week 9 - Week 10

These weeks was the most productive week that I had. It's all about putting all the static meshes, fractured mesh, and it took almost 3 weeks to get everything right.
I planned everything from which part goes first to put the static mesh and I started with the prison room. Well, I did some before but it not quite appealing to me, so I modified everything. This is what I come up for. Wires hanging from top, messy room, and some destructible objects.

The next thing was I put a lot of static meshes inside my prison. Like you can see from the image below. It's all inside the prison.

Week 7 - Week 8

So yeah, I haven't updated my blog since week 6..Good thing I wrote notes of what happened in my level eventhough I won't put high details in this blog.
After I deleted the spiral stair, Now I move on to texturing all the plane.

I put steel looking texture for the outdoor of my prison room, and put tile texture for the inside room. It took me 2 hours to get the correct texture and the right size
e for room textures. The reason I put steel texture for top, bottom, front, and back of my prison room simply because this prison is half technology and half demonic.

Every advanced technology will have steel.
is texture a rusty steel texture where it gives the old looking prison as well.

I put tile material for the inside was because to show people that there was a living creature lives inside the prison.

After I finished attaching all the texture for prison rooms, Next I move on to my prison side.
Where I put tile texture, organic tile texture, and grate pipes for the side way.

After I am done with the texture for both prison side. There was something missing in the middle of the prison. After I looked up my image reference, I forgot to made a watch tower.
Then I went straight making the watchtower.

I put a rusty steel as well for it but with a different colour. It took me almost 2-3 hours to made this watchtower since I had to make the window for each level inside it so player can jump out easily from it. The inside texture inside it is the same with the outside.
